What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. They are typically used to remember settings, measure how a site is used, or track advertising across the web. Similar technologies — such as localStorage, tracking pixels and device fingerprinting — serve comparable purposes, and everything on this page applies to them as well.
First-Party Cookies on Tradifox
Here is the short version: we set none. Tradifox is a static website. We run no analytics, no tracking scripts and no advertising technology of our own, so we have no first-party tracking or analytics cookies. You do not need to accept any cookie to read every page on this site.
If we ever store a purely functional value on your device — for example, remembering your preferred language in localStorage — it will contain no personal data and will never be used to track you across pages or websites.
Third-Party Cookies and Similar Technologies
Two kinds of third-party technology can appear on Tradifox:
Advertising and affiliate networks. Clearly labelled ad blocks and affiliate links on our category and guide pages may set cookies to count clicks, prevent fraud and attribute commissions when you buy something at a partner retailer. These cookies are set and controlled by the networks themselves, under their own privacy and cookie policies — not by us.
Embedded live widgets. Our weather widget (powered by Open-Meteo) and news widget (via an RSS-to-JSON service) request data from third-party servers when they load. Those requests transmit your IP address and may involve the third party's own cookies or similar technologies.
Blocking third-party cookies does not break Tradifox — every page keeps working normally.
How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Tradifox keeps working either way.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies — block or allow them site by site.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection — Strict mode blocks tracking cookies.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy — 'Prevent cross-site tracking' is on by default.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions — manage and delete stored cookies.
- Mobile browsers: cookie controls sit in the browser app's own settings, usually under Privacy.
- You can block or delete cookies at any time — every page on Tradifox works without them.
